Laughter: Humanity's Secret Weapon!
As a comedienne, it’s obviously in my best interest to keep audiences in a state of laughter as much as possible.
I can’t help but wonder what is it about this state that keeps people seeking-out and paying good money to keep themselves doing it.
It’s amazing that a naturally-occurring, involuntary act can have such an impact on a person’s life.
What is it about this action that’s so rewarding? What natural bodily-function does it have?
I will try to answer these questions the best I can from my own personal experience throughout my life and on stage.
As well as other questions, like:
• What are the therapeutic benefits?
• How does it happen physically?
• Is it contagious? Is it an STD?
• Just wanted to make sure you were still reading.
• Are there different types?
• Why we find things funny
• Cultural differences of humor
• What are the health benefits?
Your body has many different ways to help you protect and optimize it. Letting out some big "ha ha ha's" is one of those mechanisms.
